Hello everyone.. today we will cook sambal ikan bilis or spicy anchovies.. This recipe can be eaten with nasi lemak.. before this, we has learn how to make the nasi lemak or coconut rice. so today, as the side dish for the nasi lemak, we will cook the sambal ikan bilis. 


Ingredient:
2 cup anchovies (wash)
3 - 4 shallot (sliced thinly)
3 cloves of garlic (sliced thinly)
1/2 cup of chili paste
 1 tsp javanese tamarind (use the water)
1 1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp sugar (for sweetness)

Preparation:
1. Blends the onion and garlic. 

2. Heat the oil then fry the anchovies for a while. It is to make sure the anchovies are cooked and crisp perfectly. When the anchovies is cooked, dug it out.

3. Stir fry the blend onion and garlic then include the chili paste. Cook it in a slow heat until its cooked.

4. After cooked, add sugar and salt then stir well to ensure that the chili paste get the taste. 

5. Then add the tamarind water and fried anchovies. Let it cook with slow fire.

6. It can be lifted and served with the Nasi Lemak.
